The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Tuesday that 460 people, including 154 children, have died from famine and malnutrition over the past period as a result of the blockade and shortages of basic food supplies.
In an official statement, the ministry said that these deaths reflect the worsening humanitarian crisis in the Strip, where residents are suffering from a severe shortage of food and medical supplies, exacerbating the suffering of children and the elderly alike.
The ministry warned of the continuation of the current situation, stressing that any delay in providing food and humanitarian aid could lead to a further increase in the death toll, calling on the international community to take urgent action to avert a greater humanitarian disaster.
