Continued warnings regarding navigation in the Gulf of Aden as the “Falcon” explosion is anticipated

Navigation authorities renewed their warnings on Sunday to ships passing through the Gulf of Aden amid expectations of a possible explosion on an oil tanker that has been on fire for two days.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency once again called on ships to exercise caution.
The warning comes as an explosion is anticipated for a massive, liquefied gas tanker named “Falcon,” which was subjected to an unknown attack off the southern coast of Yemen.

The European mission in the Red Sea, known as “ASPIDES,” reported that it managed to evacuate the ship’s crew except for two individuals—one is missing, and the other remains on board.

Fires are still raging aboard the ship, which flies the Cameroonian flag and is owned by India.

Satellite images showed massive plumes of smoke rising from the midsection of the ship, while no firefighting operations have been reported so far.
