Dangerous spread of diseases in Gaza

Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians have become homeless in the Gaza Strip, while various areas of the Strip are witnessing a dangerous spread of diseases, most notably hepatitis and meningitis, in addition to the widespread destruction of the sewage system.

Abu Hasna added that approximately 61 million tons of rubble fill the streets of the Gaza Strip due to the extensive destruction caused by the war.

He pointed out that the agency has provided approximately one million psychological consultations, the majority of which were for children, while its clinics have recorded more than 10 million medical visits since October 7.
