Israel has decided to expand its direct occupation of the Gaza Strip beyond the Yellow Line, according to Israeli reports.
This came as the Israeli occupation army launched a new aggression against the Gaza Strip. Its warplanes launched raids on the western part of the city, shelling the vicinity of the Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and Israeli artillery shelled the eastern part of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Earlier, the army bombed the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, claiming that its forces had come under fire.
Hamas confirmed in a statement that it “has no connection to the shooting incident in Rafah,” and affirmed its commitment to the ceasefire agreement.
It said, “The criminal bombing carried out by the fascist occupation army on areas of the Gaza Strip represents a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement signed in Sharm el-Sheikh under the auspices of US President Donald Trump.”
