The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Saturday that 22 martyrs (including 5 newly deceased and 17 bodies recovered) and 9 wounded individuals arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours.
The ministry added in its statement that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to reach them. It clarified that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 68,858 martyrs and 170,664 wounded since October 7, 2023.
The ministry stated, “Since the ceasefire on October 11, 2023, the total number of martyrs has reached 226, the total number of wounded 594, and the total number of bodies recovered 499.”
It continued, “We also received 30 bodies of martyrs released yesterday by the Israeli occupation through the Red Cross, bringing the total number of bodies of martyrs received to 225.”
