Israel has been killing an average of 10 Palestinians per day since the ceasefire

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that Israel continues to perpetrate genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, albeit at a less overt pace and with a new, systematic approach.

This approach involves daily violations of the ceasefire through limited shelling, which escalates every few days into large-scale bombing campaigns targeting civilians in displacement camps, homes, and tents.

In a statement issued Friday evening, the Euro-Mediterranean Monitor explained that since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, the Israeli army has been implementing a policy of gradual escalation, shifting from sporadic shelling to widespread campaigns of genocide.

The Euro-Mediterranean Monitor indicated that the Israeli army has killed 219 Palestinians, including 85 children, since the ceasefire agreement began, averaging more than 10 Palestinians killed daily and approximately 600 others wounded, averaging 28.5 injuries per day.

These high rates demonstrate that Israel has not ceased the policy of killing it initiated more than two years ago.

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that, in addition to the daily shelling and bombardment, the Israeli army carried out two major offensives. The first, on October 19, resulted in the deaths of 47 Palestinians, including 20 children and 6 women. The second, on October 28 and 29, killed 110 Palestinians, including 46 children and 20 women.

The Monitor noted that artillery shelling, gunfire, and the demolition of buildings continued over the past two days and into Friday morning in the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and in Gaza City.

This indicates that Israel is attempting to establish a new reality that allows it to continue its military operations in the area it controls in the Gaza Strip, which constitutes approximately 50% of the Strip’s total area, and to exclude it from the ceasefire agreement.

All of this is being done without engaging in combat, meaning it is carrying out operations aimed at destruction and the annihilation of livelihoods in the future.
