Health Ministry in Gaza: Shortage of medical supplies in the sector’s hospitals has reached 71%

The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that the shortage of medical supplies in the Strip’s hospitals has reached 71%, warning of the consequences of the Israeli occupation’s continued obstruction of medical supplies. In a press statement on Wednesday, the Ministry explained that “if the occupation continues to restrict the supply of medicines to the Strip, the shortage will exceed 60%.

It also indicated that a large number of cancer patients will be unable to receive their treatment due to the lack of medication. Patients and the wounded in Gaza continue to face immense difficulties in leaving the Strip to receive treatment abroad, amidst numerous Israeli obstacles and travel bans, while dozens of types of medications remain prohibited from entering the Strip.
