Israeli airstrikes on Khan Younis and Rafah

A young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli army fire east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The Israeli army announced Wednesday morning that one of its soldiers was killed by friendly fire in the Khan Younis area.

The Israeli army continues to violate the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip by launching attacks and air, land, and sea raids on various areas of the besieged territory. This has exacerbated the humanitarian suffering of displaced people, while the Rafah crossing remains under limited operation due to Israeli restrictions. A series of Israeli airstrikes targeted areas in Khan Younis and Rafah in southern Gaza, amid low-altitude flights by warplanes, while artillery shelled areas east of Khan Younis.

Israeli gunboats also opened fire on a fishing boat and arrested several fishermen west of Gaza City. The Israeli army carried out demolition operations north and east of Gaza City, targeting civilian facilities and residential buildings.
