The head of Iran’s Emergency Medical Services, Jafar Mi’adfar, announced a new toll of civilian casualties since the start of the US-Israeli war on the country during Ramadan on Tuesday, revealing a large number of injuries and deaths among women and children. He emphasized that Iran is not experiencing a shortage of medicine or medical services. In statements to state television, Mi’adfar explained that the number of injured since the beginning of the war has reached 1,563, including 111 children under the age of five. He also noted that the total number of injured women as of last night reached 3,794, the youngest being a one-month-old infant. Regarding the death toll, the head of the Emergency Medical Services revealed that the number of children and young people under the age of 18 who were killed has reached 208, including 168 children from the city of Minab alone. He added that 13 of the martyrs were under the age of five, the youngest being a three-day-old infant, while the oldest martyr was an 88-year-old man.
