Several areas in southern and eastern Lebanon witnessed an escalation of violence, with continued Israeli airstrikes resulting in casualties, including paramedics, in attacks targeting various towns since the early hours of Sunday, according to the National News Agency (NNA).
In this context, the NNA reported that seven civilians were killed and several others wounded in an Israeli airstrike targeting the town of Haniyeh in southern Lebanon. Another airstrike on the town of Jouya resulted in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to three others, according to the same source.
Reports also indicated that an airstrike targeted the town of Jamaliyeh, north of Baalbek, shortly before 2:00 AM. Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of additional raids on a house in the town of Dabaal and on the outskirts of the towns of Babtouliyeh and Deir Qanoun Ras al-Ain.
Concurrently, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the towns of Bayada and Bint Jbeil, leading to heightened security tensions in the region, amidst continued intensive overflights by warplanes in the skies over several Lebanese areas.
These developments come amid an escalation in Zionist attacks on various regions of Lebanon, which exacerbates the human and material losses and increases the state of anxiety among the residents of the targeted villages and towns.
