Two Palestinians, one of them a journalist, were killed in an Israeli airstrike

Two Palestinians, one of them a journalist, were killed, and a woman was moderately wounded on Wednesday evening in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a civilian vehicle southwest of Gaza City.

The Gaza Civil Defense reported that its crews recovered “the bodies of two martyrs as a result of an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian vehicle on Rashid Street, the coastal road southwest of Gaza City.”

Palestinian medical sources stated that the bodies of the two men, along with a woman who sustained moderate injuries, were taken to Al-Quds Hospital, run by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, in Gaza City.

The Gaza Government Media Office confirmed that among those killed in the Israeli airstrike was journalist Mohammed Samir Washah, a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher.

In a statement, the office said, “The number of journalists killed has thus risen to 262 since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.”
