The Foreign Ministry of the Sana’a government said on Tuesday that the solution to the situation in the Strait of Hormuz lies in ending the American-Israeli aggression on Iran, affirming that Yemen isn’t neutral.

The ministry clarified in a statement commenting on the UN Security Council meeting on maritime security that “the American-Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran and American piracy in the Gulf of Oman have made the world pay a heavy price, manifested in disruptions to supply chains and navigation movement, as well as increased transportation costs and energy and food prices.”
Sana’a’s Foreign Ministry stressed in a statement published by the “Saba” agency that “the only solution to the situation in Hormuz lies in addressing the root causes, namely the American-Israeli aggression on the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
The statement condemned “American piracy in the Gulf of Oman and attacks on Iranian commercial ships and the detention of their crews, considering this a flagrant violation of international law and freedom of navigation.”
Sana’a’s Foreign Ministry affirmed the legitimacy of the measures taken by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz and the right of states to self-defense and restricting navigation in their territorial waters to confront security threats.
Yemen isn’t neutral:
It also warned what it described as “some plotters from outside the region” against sliding into any steps that would further complicate the situation and cause severe damage to supply chains, energy prices, and the global economy already harmed by the barbarism of the criminal Trump and his Zionist partners.
Sana’a’s Foreign Ministry welcomed the Pakistani mediation efforts to end the American-Israeli aggression on Iran.
The statement also reiterated the affirmation that Yemen is not neutral regarding the ongoing aggressions on Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine and that its position is clear, declared, and explicit in this context.
