Attacks sweep the West Bank

Several areas in the West Bank witnessed an escalation of violence and attacks by settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces on Saturday. These attacks included injuries, arrests, and assaults on homes and agricultural lands in Hebron, Ramallah, Jericho, and Nablus. Meanwhile, the Gaza truce is in a critical phase due to the Israeli army’s escalation and the rising Palestinian death toll. Israel confirmed using 13 heavy bombs in the assassination of the Qassam Brigades commander in the Gaza Strip on Friday.

On Saturday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank, claiming he was attempting to infiltrate the camp, which is under Israeli control and has been off-limits for over a year.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation authorities forced Omar Muhammad Halasa to demolish his own home in the Jabal al-Mukaber neighborhood of occupied East Jerusalem after notifying him of a final demolition order, citing construction without a permit. The authorities threatened him with a fine of up to 70,000 shekels if he did not carry out the demolition himself.

Israeli occupation forces stormed the city of Tubas and the town of Tammun to the south at dawn on Saturday, raiding and searching a number of homes. They also stormed the city of Qalqilya from its southern entrance before raiding the Kafr Saba neighborhood. Settlers also set fire to an agricultural building and spray-painted racist slogans on walls in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, at dawn on Saturday.
