“Fleeing from Failure”… Trump Announces Postponement of a Strike Against Iran, Sparking Widespread Mockery

Donald Trump’s statements regarding his claims of postponing a scheduled attack on Iran have sparked a wave of widespread mockery, after he announced that Washington was preparing “to return to attacks” on Tuesday before backing down from the decision.

Exclusive Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Israel Hayom newspaper quoted Trump as saying that the United States decided to postpone the strike “at the request of Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia,” in addition to the existence of “serious negotiations” currently underway.

According to the newspaper, reactions in Iran focused on what they considered a “new retreat” by Trump, as Iranian circles were quoted as saying that the US President “was forced to back down again and is trying to blame others.”

The newspaper added that Iranian comments mocked the repetition of American threats without implementation, considering that Trump’s announcement came within the framework of an attempt to justify not carrying out the anticipated attack by linking it to regional requests and pressures.

These statements come amid ongoing tension between Washington and Tehran, coinciding with regional diplomatic moves aimed at preventing the expansion of military confrontation in the region.

Activist Tamer said in a post on the “X” platform: “Trump announces the postponement of a major military strike that was planned for tomorrow on Iran ‘in response to a request from the Emir of Qatar, the Saudi Crown Prince, and the UAE ruler.'”

He continued: “Trump always has a reason for last-minute postponements for a month and a half, but when he started the war at its inception, he did not care about the opinions of Gulf leaders. Now, suddenly, he has started caring about them.”
