Iran announces complete closure of the Strait of Hormuz and targeting of two ships

The Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters in Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to the passage of all ships, including oil tankers.

A statement issued by the headquarters said, “From this moment, due to the insecurity in the region, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to the movement of any type of ship, whether oil tankers or commercial vessels, is announced, and any movement will be targeted.

The statement denied Trump’s claims of an American success in illegally passing ships through Hormuz. In the context, the Revolutionary Guard Navy announced the targeting of two ships that attempted to cross the strait illegally.
