The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,996, with 173,240 wounded.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted the Palestinian Ministry of Health as saying that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received three new fatalities and 16 injuries in the past 24 hours. The ministry noted that the total number of deaths since the ceasefire on October 10 has reached 986, and the total number of injuries has reached 3,138.
The ministry indicated that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and in the streets, as rescue and ambulance crews have been unable to reach them.
This toll comes amidst the ongoing Israeli occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by widespread destruction of infrastructure and residential areas, in addition to a sharp deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
