“Hind Rajab” organization demands the arrest of an “Israeli”-American soldier

The Palestinian advocacy organization Hind Rajab renewed its call on Tuesday, June 16, for the arrest of an Israeli-American soldier known as “Jake,” following his appearance in Los Angeles during the World Cup. The organization accuses him of participating in the systematic destruction and genocide in the Gaza Strip.

This demand comes weeks after the organization filed a similar lawsuit in Sri Lanka last month while the soldier was on leave there, as part of its efforts to prosecute individuals it accuses of participating in the genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The human rights organization stated that Battalion 603, to which the soldier belongs, is widely documented as a key unit responsible for the extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure in Gaza since the outbreak of war in October 2023.

The organization added that it had documented at least 65 monitored demolitions carried out by the battalion between October 2023 and mid-2025. These demolitions targeted residential homes, mosques, agricultural land, industrial facilities, and hospitals, in addition to cases of unlawful detention and other violations against civilians.

Regarding the soldier in question, the organization explained that its investigations indicate he was directly involved in at least one demolition incident that occurred in Khan Younis during October and November 2025, as part of military operations conducted in the Gaza Strip.

The human rights organization also confirmed that the soldier had posted content on his social media accounts showing his presence inside the Gaza Strip, including in the cities of Khan Younis and Rafah, on previous occasions.

The organization pointed to one instance in which the soldier appeared carrying an explosive device inside a destroyed civilian building alongside other soldiers, explaining that this was evidence of his direct involvement in “controlled” demolitions within the Strip.

The organization concluded by calling for the activation of international legal procedures to prosecute and arrest the soldier, affirming its continued efforts to document and monitor what it describes as violations related to the war on Gaza.
