Lebanese Health Ministry: 83 killed and 141 injured in Israeli airstrikes

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that 83 people were killed and 141 others wounded in a series of airstrikes targeting southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours.

The National News Agency quoted the ministry’s Health Emergency Operations Center on Saturday as saying that the intense airstrikes launched by the Israeli army on Friday resulted in this final toll, bringing the total number of victims from March 2 to June 20 to 4,057 dead and 12,121 wounded.

Earlier in the day, 19 people, including a soldier, were killed in a series of intense Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns in southern Lebanon, causing widespread destruction to homes and residential buildings.

Israel continues its attacks despite the entry into force of the memorandum of understanding signed between the United States and Iran, which stipulates an immediate and permanent cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.
