Lebanon announces an increase in victims of the Israeli aggression

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Tuesday evening that the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 4,278 martyrs and 12,196 wounded.

In its daily report, the ministry stated that it had recorded 21 martyrs in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of victims of the Israeli aggression up to June 30 to 4,278 martyrs and 12,196 wounded.

This comes after Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a “framework agreement” on Friday evening, under US auspices, stipulating a phased Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory, beginning with two undisclosed pilot areas.

The agreement did not include a clear timetable for completing the withdrawal from the two areas or from all Lebanese territory. It also linked the implementation of the phases to the Lebanese army assuming full and effective security responsibility in the areas from which the Israeli army withdraws, in addition to the disarmament of all non-state armed groups, in a clear reference to Hezbollah. For its part, Hezbollah described the agreement as “nonexistent” and “humiliating,” considering that linking the Israeli withdrawal to its disarmament represents “crossing red lines,” coinciding with protests organized by supporters of the party in Beirut, which included blocking roads and burning tires.
