Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Kazem Gharibabadi, stated on Sunday that the American attack on the under-construction Darkhovin nuclear plant represents a “serious assault” on Iran’s peaceful infrastructure, holding the US fully responsible for the resulting repercussions.

Gharibabadi added in a post on the “X” platform that the targeted facility is part of Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure, considering that targeting it constitutes a violation of international rules concerning the protection of facilities of a peaceful nature.
He affirmed that his country holds the US government fully responsible for any repercussions that may result from this attack, including the exacerbation of tension and instability in the region, without providing further details regarding the nature of the damage.
