The Office of the UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon called on Israel on Saturday to halt its destructive operations in southern Lebanon, expressing concern over the escalating pace of bombings and demolitions in the region.
The acting UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Jean Arnault, said in a post on the X platform that the scale of the bombings and demolitions in southern Lebanon is “deeply worrying,” and called for an end to this escalation.
He emphasized that diplomatic channels remain open to address outstanding issues and urged their use to avoid further tension.
