Baghaei: Yemen’s Operations Are an Internal Decision and Unrelated to the War Between Iran and the United States

The spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Esmaeil Baghaei, affirmed on Monday that what Yemen is doing in terms of operations is an “internal measure in whose nature Iran does not interfere,” denying any connection between the Yemeni operations and the ongoing war between Iran and the United States.

Baghaei said in a press statement that Yemen has no relation to the military confrontation between Tehran and Washington, a confirmation separating the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea from the ongoing war between the two sides for months.

Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, had denied any direct role for Tehran in the decision of the Yemeni naval ban on Saudi Arabia.
