The Red Sea returned to the forefront of the global scene on Tuesday with the recording of a new military operation.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Navigational sources reported the targeting of a new cargo ship south of the coast of Hudaydah city.
The operation was carried out, according to sources, with explosive-laden boats.
The operation targeted an Indian cargo ship named “Faizi Noor Ali,” according to media reports.
No party has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The operation comes at a time when the Red Sea is witnessing escalating tension for several weeks, as Yemen has imposed a ban on Saudi navigation.
It isn’t yet clear whether the ship violated the Yemeni forces’ directives not to sail to Saudi ports, or whether another party is trying to confuse matters.
It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia itself is trying to push several countries to engage in its Red Sea coalition, amid wide regional and international boycott.
