Escalating American concern over the fall of Al-Mokha as it’s encircled by air and sea

The US revealed escalating fears of the fall of the city of Al-Mokha, the last stronghold of Tareq Saleh, loyal to the UAE on Yemen’s western coast.

This coincides with its continued encirclement by air and sea.

The American Arabic-language channel Al-Hurra published a report on the city, containing hints about the possibility of it falling to those it describes as the “Houthis.”

The channel speaks of Sana’a forces seeking to tighten their control over the entire Bab Al-Mandeb area.

The report reviewed the scale of concentrated military strikes that have targeted the military infrastructure of the UAE and Saudi-backed factions in the city.

The channel affirmed that those it describes as the “Houthis” have already imposed a triple encirclement on the city, citing naval and aerial operations, in addition to deployment on land.

The city has been witnessing concentrated operations by Sana’a forces for days, resulting in the killing of first-rank leaders of Tareq’s forces, in addition to the destruction of camps, weapons warehouses, and naval and ground bases.

Shelling continues to this day, according to what Tareq’s media confirm.

The city is the last stronghold of Emirati factions in the south of Yemen’s western coast and is located at the tongue of Bab Al-Mandeb, the divider between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

It is unclear whether the American talk of the city’s fall is part of an American mobilization campaign or reflects intelligence information. However, the timing of its publication reveals the scale of American fears of losing the city, for which it has long mobilized militarily in recent years, and which served as its first line of defense on the western coast.
