Abu Ras: Whenever a people move to confront the Zionist occupation, the Saudi regime drowns them in crises and problems

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Sana’a government, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, directed sharp and biting criticism at the Saudi regime, questioning its role regarding the Palestinian cause, and accusing it of distracting the nation from confronting the Israeli occupation.

Abu Ras pointed to what he described as the ongoing “dangerous escalation” in the Palestinian territories, accusing the Zionist entity of committing the most heinous crimes of killing, destruction, arrest, and land annexation, amidst what he considered an American cover, European complicity, and Arab and Islamic failure, adding that international covenants and laws are being buried under the rubble in Palestine today.

In the context of his attack, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs considered that some Arab regimes, foremost the Saudi regime, are exhausting the nation from within and dragging it into endless conflicts in service of the Zionist project, indicating that Riyadh is preoccupied with creating crises and feeding conflicts in a number of regional countries such as Yemen, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Iraq, Somalia, and others.

Abu Ras added: “Whenever a people wanted to dedicate themselves to supporting the Palestinian Muslim people, the Saudi regime sought to drown them in internal problems and crises to divert their attention,” pointing out that wherever Zionist ambitions move, Saudi money moves to fund them, and it would have been better for Riyadh to direct its hostility towards the Israeli entity.

He concluded by affirming that the Palestinian cause remains the correct criterion for the reality of belonging and the credibility of action, and the fundamental cause for Yemen, no matter how much the Saudi regime tries to create problems internally, according to his expression.
