The Lebanese Health Ministry said at least 13 people, including six children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes on a town in southern Lebanon last Monday, in one of the heaviest waves of Israeli bombardment to hit southern Lebanon in a single day in recent weeks.
Fears are growing in Lebanon of a renewed Israeli military campaign after a surge in airstrikes over the past few days, despite a ceasefire agreement reached in June to halt the war.
A woman, who said at least three of the dead were relatives, said one of the airstrikes hit a residential building as children were getting ready for school.
