The images show huge tongues of black smoke rising during the past minutes.
Although those outlets did not clarify the details of what is happening, Saudi platforms confirmed that explosions occurred at the airport before the fire broke out.
The airport has been subjected to a series of Yemeni attacks since Friday evening, according to what Saudi platforms are saying.
The Saudi Civil Defense confirmed that sirens were activated several times during the past twelve hours in Riyadh specifically.
The attacks on Riyadh are the first since the start of the Yemeni escalation on July 20, and their timing reflects a shift in the course of operations ongoing for weeks.
