The targeting of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, by Sana’a forces today, Saturday, is an indication of its consolidation of new equations in its mutual escalation with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, whose title at this stage is “Riyadh in exchange for Sana’a.”

The spokesman for Sana’a forces had announced the execution of a military operation targeting sensitive targets in Riyadh, along with a second military operation that targeted the “Aramco” company in Yanbu.
The statement of the Sana’a forces spokesman clearly defined the reason for its decision to target Riyadh for the first time after weeks of escalation between the two sides.
The statement explained that the targeting of Riyadh came “within the framework of responding to the attempts of the criminal Saudi enemy to target the capital, Sana’a, with ISIS-like methods and means, through attempted bombings that target civilians without discrimination or exception.”

Observers believe that Sana’a, by targeting Riyadh today, wanted to establish a new equation in the conflict between the two sides, whose title is “capital for capital.”
