Halt of Navigation Movement at Jeddah International Airport

Air navigation monitoring sites revealed a halt of aviation movement at King Abdulaziz International Airport in the Saudi city of Jeddah, after midnight on Tuesday evening.

Exclusive Follow-ups — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The live images transmitted by the “Flightradar” website show a group of aircraft heading to Jeddah Airport, circling in circular paths after being unable to land at the airport.

They also show a group of aircraft whose flights were scheduled stuck on the airport’s runways.

Many Saudi airports witnessed similar problems during the past two days, after Sana’a announced the imposition of an air ban on navigation in the Kingdom’s airspace, with the exception of Mecca and Medina, and its warning to civil aviation companies against crossing the Kingdom’s airspace.

During the past hours, the Sana’a forces announced the targeting of King Khalid Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, while the Saudi authorities acknowledged that both Jizan and Najran airports were subjected to similar targeting.
