Gaza was bombed with the equivalent of 6 nuclear bombs

The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, described the situation in the Gaza Strip as horrific, asserting that the besieged population is facing a slow death.

In statements to Al Jazeera, Albanese said that the bombs dropped on Gaza so far are equivalent to the force of six nuclear bombs.

She added that the population is facing widespread disease and malnutrition, emphasizing that this is leading to immense suffering and a slow death. She noted the displacement of many residents from the north and south of the Strip to other areas, the near-total destruction of Rafah, and the forced confinement of approximately 1.8 million Palestinians to less than 30% of Gaza’s total area.
