Downing of the Oil Regions and Raising the Ceiling of Demands… The UAE Deepens Saudi Arabia’s Humiliation in Yemen

The UAE on Tuesday increased the pace of humiliating Saudi Arabia in the areas under its control in Yemen amid successive defeats that Riyadh is receiving in the north.

Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The UAE brought out demonstrations in the entire oil regions of eastern Yemen for the first time since the Saudi campaign against its factions under the pretext of threatening national security.

Several districts, most notably Al-Qatn and Al-Ghurfah in Wadi and the desert of Hadhramaut, witnessed demonstrations by the Transitional Council’s supporters during which only the pictures of Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, were raised.

The demonstrations coincide with the beginning of the UAE’s mobilizations to the main city centers in southern and eastern Yemen, heralding a phase that includes ending the Kingdom’s influence.

Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, the head of the Transitional Council, who is banned by Saudi Arabia, is expected to appear in a televised speech tonight to address his supporters after about 10 months of his disappearance.

The UAE is proceeding with steady steps to restore its influence in southern Yemen at the expense of Saudi Arabia, which is being subjected to humiliation in the north.

Riyadh has not shown any reaction, even though the anticipated demonstrations on the anniversary of the revolution against the British occupation may carry a message offensive to Saudi Arabia, which markets itself as a savior in Yemen.

In the same context, leaders loyal to the UAE continued to raise their ceiling in the face of Saudi Arabia.

Rajeh Bakrit, a member of the Presidency of the Transitional Council, renewed his demand that Riyadh restore the Council’s consideration and release its detained delegation or what remains of it to normalize relations.

The UAE is trying to exploit Saudi Arabia’s miserable situation in northern Yemen to impose its conditions and humiliate it, especially after Saudi Arabia targeted Emirati vehicles at the port of Al-Mukalla early this year.
