Yemen Postpones the Opening of Riyadh International Airport Again

Yemen postponed on Sunday Saudi arrangements to open Riyadh International Airport.

Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Saudi authorities acknowledged the diversion of flights to other airports outside the capital instead of King Khalid Airport.

Navigation tracking websites showed that the Saudi Al-Hilal team was forced to travel by land to Dammam Airport instead of Riyadh Airport, in order to depart toward the Qatari capital to participate in a new match there.

The Al-Hilal trip is one of several flights that were expected to depart from King Khalid Airport with the resumption of its operation today.

The cancellation of the flight confirms the faltering of the operation of the international airport, especially after Riyadh was subjected to a series of attacks during the recent hours.

The Yemeni forces had renewed, through their official spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, their warning to companies and travelers against using the Saudi airports, including Riyadh Airport.

The Yemeni forces impose a tightened air siege on Saudi Arabia a few weeks after their success in implementing the maritime siege within the equation of “siege for siege.”

It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia had announced weeks ago the closure of King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, provided that its operation would be resumed today, following a series of attacks that hit its most important terminals.
