The widest Houthis’ attack in southern Saudi Arabia attracts international attention

A new attack by the Yemeni forces on southern Saudi Arabia on Sunday drew international attention, especially since it comes after months of intense confrontations between the two countries.

Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

International media outlets and platforms devoted wide space to shedding light on the latest announcement by the coalition spokesman, Turki Al-Maliki, in which he spoke about the south of the Kingdom being subjected to an attack with more than 14 missiles and drones.

The comments varied regarding the size of the attack, especially since the coalition only acknowledges less than 10% of those attacks, noting that the attack may be several times what the coalition spokesman announced.

Those outlets unanimously agreed that the wide attack with this huge amount of missiles and drones reflects one reality, which is that those it described as “Houthis” possess an infinite stockpile of missiles and drones.

The coalition spokesman had announced in a new statement that the southern region of Saudi Arabia was subjected to a wide attack.

The attack on the south is part of a wide operation that also included the capital Riyadh and other cities since the morning, and it is also part of a daily escalation scenario carried out by the Yemeni forces within the strategy of “siege for siege and escalation for escalation.”

The Yemeni operations continuing since the twentieth of last July witnessed a remarkable development during the recent days, highlighted by the quantity of missiles and drones that are sent in batches to the depth of the Saudi cities, in contrast to the first weeks of the Yemeni operation, which were characterized by fewer missiles and drones.

The wide operations were considered as messages to Saudi Arabia, the most prominent of which relates to the ability of the Yemeni forces to accelerate the process of producing missiles and drones strongly, in contrast to what Saudi Arabia bets on regarding the possibility of their shrinking.
