Saudi fears escalate of a repeat of the West Coast scenario in Marib, with the loss of its most prominent defensive garrisons and the killing of its commander

Saudi Arabia revealed on Saturday the escalation of fears of losing the city of Marib, the last stronghold of its factions in northern Yemen.

This coincides with accelerating developments on the outskirts of the city.

Exclusive — Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Saudi elites, the most prominent of whom is the media figure close to Bin Salman, Sha’i Al-Marzouqi, warned the Islah governor of Marib, Sultan Al-Arada, against the consequences of repeating the Tariq scenario on the western coast of Yemen.

Al-Marzouqi said in a tweet of his that his country threw all its weight into Marib and reinforced it with weapons and aviation, considering any fall of the city as treason, in addition to his hinting at targeting Al-Arada in the event the city falls.

The Saudi warnings came on the eve of important military developments on the fronts of the city.

The Islah authority in Marib acknowledged the loss of the northern front, which includes Raghwan and Al-Kassarah, which is one of the most fortified defensive sites for the city of Marib.

The coalition-loyal factions buried Brigadier General Mohammed Hatem, the commander of the Raghwan front.

The Sana’a forces had taken control of several sites in the district, reaching the outskirts of the city.

The killing of Hatem, the front commander, indicates that the battle was decisive.

The confrontations are still continuing on the outskirts of the city with the Sana’a forces achieving further advance toward the center, according to tribal sources.
