Fierce clashes broke out on Saturday among Islah party’s forces and UAE-backed southern transitional council (STC) in Abyan province, local sources said.
The sources confirmed that armed groups of southern troops carried out an ambush for Islah reinforcements in Khabar al-Maraqisha area of Ahwar district, killing and injuring several fighters and burning a military vehicle.
On Friday, elements in the southern transitional attacked groups loyal to Islah in Khabar al-Maraqisha area, killing two soldiers of them and burning two military pick-up vehicles.
