The UAE-backed militias fired on Monday at citizens were protesting in front of Socotra Island airport gate, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources indicated that tens of civilians organized a protest rally in front of Hadebbo airport, denouncing UAE continuation of sending several soldiers to the island.
The sources confirmed that one of the UAE officers directed the southern transitional militiamen to open fire to disperse the protesters against the UAE military presence.
