The UAE-backed militia on Monday launched a massive arrest campaign against citizens in Ataq city, the capital of the oil-rich Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
Local sources indicated that Ataq is witnessing widespread arrests by the militia in the city’s streets and entrances.
The sources added that citizens are subjected to arbitrary arrests in the streets under the pretext of searching for weapons.
