Aden: Fierce Clashes Erupted between Pro-Coalition Factions

Armed clashes blow up during the early hours of Saturday between the Saudi-led coalition factions, in the center of Aden, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the city reported that the clashes took place between members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Al-Qahira round in Sheikh Othman area, against the background of militia members’ covering up one of the wanted persons of the other faction, without mentioning the reasons.

The sources pointed out that the clashes left a state of panic and terror among the citizens.

The pro-coalition factions control the city of Aden, which has been witnessing a state of chaos and assassinations since the second half of 2015.
