Withdrawal of American battleships from the Gulf

At a time when Yemen hints at the third stage of escalation against the Israeli American occupation, the US has begun withdrawing its battleships from the Gulf on Saturday.

The Iranian Navy released photos showing Iranian aircraft accompanying the USS Eisenhower through the waters of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.

At the beginning of Israel’s aggression against Gaza, the US announced the deployment of the Eisenhower, which includes a group of interceptors, battleships, and submarines, to the Mediterranean. However, as Yemeni attacks on Israel and ships traveling to its ports in the Red Sea increased, the US later moved the Eisenhower to the Gulf.

The US withdrew its aircraft carrier, but the reasons for doing so remain unclear. Though there are growing concerns about the possibility of their targeting—especially with Yemen hinting at entering the third stage of escalation in support of Gaza—the decision also aligns with the intensification of Yemeni attacks and the failure of the American show of force to deter them. This suggests that the US believes fleet deployments in the region are ineffective.
