An important statement from Sana’a regarding maritime navigation

Abdulwahab Al-Durra, the Minister of Transport in the Sana’a government, stated in a press statement that “maritime navigation in the Red Sea is proceeding normally.”

He further added in his media statement on Thursday that through daily monitoring, it has been revealed that “the decrease in the number of ships is up to 1 or 2%, which is less than usual due to the militarization of the Red Sea by the US.”

He clarified that “the number of ships passing through the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait heading to the Suez Canal is the same as the daily, monthly, and yearly average.”

Minister Al-Durra also affirmed that “the relevant authorities in the Ministry of Transport are monitoring maritime traffic on a daily basis, and Yemen’s ports and the countries overlooking the Red Sea are operating smoothly without any problems.”
