Death toll of Israeli operation in Gaza rises to 26,422

Health authorities in Gaza announced that the death toll of Israeli shelling and ground operations in Gaza Strip has risen to 26,422 dead, most of them women and children, since the start of war between Israel and Hamas on October seven.

It confirmed that at least 165 people had been killed in the past twenty-four hours; some 65,087 people have been injured since the outbreak of war.

Heavy aerial and artillery shelling continued on the city centre of Khan Younis and the western camp, and the Israeli army launched air strikes on buildings and sites in Mawasi area, forcing tens of thousands of displaced people to flee to Rafah.
