Commencement of the deployment of the European fleet in the Red Sea

The European Union (EU) confirmed on Monday the commencement of its fleet’s deployment in the Red Sea, where tensions between Yemen, America, and Britain are escalating. This coincides with growing concerns about escalation as Yemen threatens to expand its operations in response to Israeli arrangements for a new massacre in Rafah.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The EU announced in a statement published in its official newspaper that its military fleet will move from the area extending from the Strait of Hormuz to the Bab Al-Mandeb in the Red Sea, with its operations base in Greece, which Britain uses as a base for launching air aggression against Yemen.

The EU specified the mission of protecting ships, in reference to Israeli vessels, from potential attacks in the Red Sea.

The statement from the EU comes days after Western countries, including Germany, announced the dispatch of new battleships to the Red Sea to join several European ships, including Italian and French vessels, currently stationed in the Red Sea.

Although the EU attempted, during the consultations on forming the new European mission, to send messages indicating its reluctance to participate in the American-British aggression against Yemen, the timing of the fleet’s mobilization suggests that it is part of the British-American plan to subjugate Yemen to Israeli occupation, which coincided with the deployment of European battleships with Israeli escalation towards the city of Rafah, which is home to approximately one and a half million Palestinians, amid Yemeni threats to expand operations against the occupation and its supporters, not to mention that the American decision to classify the Ansar Allah movement on the “terrorist list” is close to entering into force amid expectations of further American escalation on Yemen.
