Halting rescue operations for an American ship in the Red Sea

Attempts to rescue an American ship that came under attack in the Red Sea came to a halt on Thursday, with its chances of surviving sinking diminishing.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The owning company of the ship, “True Confidence,” stated in a press release that the ship began drifting away from the shore, where rescue attempts were being made.

The company confirmed that the ship’s 23 crew members were evacuated to Djibouti.

It also expressed the loss of hope in the possibility of rescuing the ship.

The ship suffered extensive damage after being targeted by a missile claimed by the Yemeni armed forces in their statement.

The targeting of the ship came after its crew refused requests to change its course.

This is the second ship to be sunk since last week, indicating a new shift in the course of Yemeni operations in the Red and Arabian Seas.
