Withdrawal of the first European frigate after being hit in the Red Sea

On Sunday, Yemen revealed the backstage of the withdrawal of a European frigate for the first time since the deployment of the Western fleet in the Red Sea.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Deputy Director of the Moral Guidance Department in Sana’a, Brigadier General Abdullah Bin Amer, confirmed the targeting of the Danish frigate, hinting in a post on his official social media page that it had been hit.

Brigadier Bin Amer wrote, “A warship belonging to a European country left the Red Sea after being targeted by only one drone.”

The tweet by Brigadier Bin Amer came a day after Denmark announced the withdrawal of its only frigate from the Red Sea.

The frigate is named “Iver Huitfeldt” and was deployed as part of the known European fleet “Operation Aspides” in February.

The frigate is one of several German, French, and Italian battleships that have come under attack in the Red Sea, with some being withdrawn for maintenance and others being redeployed.

The Danish move reveals the extent of the ferocity of Yemeni operations and their impact on the allies’ battleships in their battle against Yemen.
