UNRWA: Israeli claims of safe zones in Gaza ‘false’

Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said that the Israeli occupation’s claims of safe zones in Gaza are “false and misleading.”
“Israel continues to issue forced displacement orders, also known as evacuation orders, and this forces Palestinians in Rafah to flee anywhere,” Lazzarini said via X platform, expressing concern about the ongoing displacement of Palestinians from their homes.
He explained that since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Strip on the seventh of last October, most of the residents of Gaza moved several times, and searched hard for safety that they never found.
