The Palestinian Ministry of Health warned that the only oxygen generating station in Gaza City would stop within hours due to running out of fuel, putting dozens of patients in danger.
The ministry said in a statement: “Within hours, the only oxygen station in Gaza governorate is threatened with a complete stoppage, exposing the lives of dozens of sick and wounded to inevitable death.”
It also warned that medicines in refrigerators are damaged because diesel is not introduced to operate the generator feeding the oxygen station and refrigerators to store medicines.
Since 7 May, Israel has taken control of Rafah land crossing in the southern Gaza Strip despite international warnings of the repercussions, exacerbating the humanitarian situation due to the lack of fuel, medical supplies and aid.
