The Gaza Municipality called on international organizations to intervene and help stop the leakage of sewage as a result of the Israeli bombardment of infrastructure and sewage networks during the 11-month war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip.
“The absence of municipal teams for the eleventh consecutive month from providing basic services was clearly reflected in the accumulation of piles of waste everywhere, in the absence of places to dispose of them, as all empty places are crowded with displaced people, or difficult to reach due to the threats of the occupation, which leads to their accumulation in the streets and various axes in unprecedented quantities.”
