Israeli magazine: Dogs gnaw corpses in Beit Lahia

The website of the Israeli magazine “972+” confirmed in a report that Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip is living catastrophic humanitarian conditions as a result of the continuous Israeli attacks, and its streets have turned into piles of rubble and dead bodies, while the remaining residents face a major challenge to survive amid the suffocating siege and widespread destruction.

Ali Hammouda, a 43-year-old resident of Beit Lahiya, said, “Wherever you go, you find bodies on the ground, some semi-decomposed, others run over by Israeli armored vehicles. We are trapped from all directions, and people don’t know where to go.”

Those who remain alive in Beit Lahiya suffer from hunger and thirst, as there is no food or water, he said, describing what is happening as “genocide of the population and displaced people who have taken refuge here.”

Mahmoud Basal, the spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza, described the situation in northern Gaza, specifically in Beit Lahiya, as “very catastrophic,” adding that Israel was shelling residential buildings with highly destructive rockets without warning and with residents inside.
