West Bank: Arrests and raids

Israeli forces launched a massive raid and arrest campaign in the Al-Fawwar refugee camp, south of the West Bank city of Hebron, at dawn on Saturday. The raid resulted in the arrest of more than 60 Palestinians.

A military bulldozer accompanied the raid, which targeted dozens of homes, and searches were conducted in several homes. Field investigations were also conducted with detainees inside the homes. Local sources reported that “occupation forces transformed a home in the camp into a temporary military barracks during the operation.”

The sources indicated that “a number of detainees have been released, while the raid continues, with clashes continuing between Palestinian youths and Israeli forces, who have fired flares extensively around the camp.”
