The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced today, Thursday, that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 69,799, the majority of whom are children and women, since the start of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023. The ministry explained, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, that the number of injuries has risen to 170,972 since the start of the offensive, while a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams.
It noted that 14 bodies arrived at Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours (including 5 newly killed martyrs and 9 whose bodies were recovered).
